All eyes are going to be on Justin Rose in this year’s Scottish Open being staged up at the Gullane Golf Club in Aberdeen on the 15th of July, for he is the current favourite to win that European Golf Tour and plenty of punters have been betting on him to win in the last week or so.
In fact, those fans and punters have been able to secure some fairly decent odds, and there is still time for you to secure some high valued odds on him for Betfred are still offering odds of 8/1 on him winning this major golf tournament.
He does however face some very stiff competition from the likes of Rickie Fowler and there has been some huge bets placed on him at his current win odds of 9/1, but due to the nature of this tournament and the tricky design of the course too, any golfer in the tournament does have a fair chance of winning, and the result is by no stretch of the imagination a foregone conclusion!
If this is a sporting event you are happy to bet on, then I can recommend any of our featured and approved betting sites as they are all offering their own unique betting markets on it, so do some detective work and compare the odds available to ensure you get the best odds possible!
Hideki Matsuyama and Patrick Reed Solid Each-Way Bets
You should get one fifth of the win odds when betting each-way on the Scottish Open, however each betting site will have their own unique number of places they will pay out to on the place part of an each-way bet. But Betfred are going to seven places, so they are the best sit to place such bets at for sure!
With that in mind, and if you are looking for a couple of stand out each-way betting opportunities on this major European Golf Tour then I would urge you to consider backing either Hideki Matsuyama or Patrick Reed who both look excellent bets and offer excellent value at their current odds of 16/1!
Bigger Odds but Riskier Bets!
There is no doubt in my mind a few of you out there will be tempted to back some of the additional golfers that are taking part in the Scottish Open who have much higher odds attached to them.
Three golfers that do offer a reasonable chance of you winning when backing them at odds of 20/1 include Louis Oosthuizen, Tyrrell Hatton and of course Russell Knox.
But looking further down the betting markets on this event you are going to find quite a number of golfers with odds of 66/1 attached to them who may also be worth a punt and they include the likes of Alexander Bjork, Thomas Pieters and also Ross Fisher.
If you do however want to go for broke and bet on some golfers with huge odds attached to them then consider betting on Ashley Chesters, Bradley Dredge and Callum Shinkwin who are all currently available at odds of 200/1!
