You are spoilt for choice regarding the sheer number of tennis matches that are going to be playing today as part of the 1st Round of matches at Wimbledon, and as such allow me to give you a few pointers as to just which matches may be worth betting on and when!
Several matches are going to be starting at 11:30 today but those that may just be worth betting on include the Tomic, B v Hurkacz, H match, and with short odds of just 1/3 and being bang in form that match is likely to go the way of Tomic, however if you do fancy the chances of Hurkacz you can currently get odds of 9/4 on that player winning.
Another match that is starting today at 11:30 but is a very one-sided affair from a betting point of view is the match between Harrison, Christian and Nishikori, for the former named players is on offer at huge odds to win that match, those odds being 13/2, but it is likely to be Nishikori that will win it based on the odds 1/14 available on that player!
A much better balanced match from a betting point of view and one that can go either way is the Dzumhur, D v Marterer, M match and the respective odds on each player are 8/11 and 11/10!
Today’s Early Afternoon Wimbledon Matches
You may be much more interested in settling down after lunch and betting on some tennis matches, and if so for some value I would steer you away from betting on the very long odds-on chances and aim to pick out some winners of the much more evenly matched matches!
Take for example the Tiafoe, F v Verdasco, F match, the players are available at odds of 6/5 and 4/6 respectively and it is true to say that either of those two players could win that match.
For much better value also consider betting on the Copil, M v Haase, R match for you can get odds of 13/8 on the former player and odds of 1/2 on the latter named player, and once again either player could easily win that match.
Wimbledon’s Final Few Matches Today
With Ferrer, D being 10/3 and Khachanov, K on offer at odds of 1/5 it does look like the latter named player will win that match which is starting at 3pm today.
Another match that is starting at the same time as the match above is the one in which Herbert, Ph as 13/8 to win and Zverev, M can be had at much shorter odds of 1/2 but looking at the most recent form of both players that may be a tricky match to pick the winner of!
There is one match today that is the most unbalanced, regarding the form and the chances of both players and that is of course the Sandgren, T v Djokovic, N match, and the odds on both players to win are 12/1 and 1/40 respectively!
