Future Racing – The 2018 July Cup

Rather than manically place a bet on every single horse race running each day, you will always be best advised to take a step back, and put together a shortlist of races to bet on over the course of a week or month.

That way you can concentrate more of your time trying to pick out the winners from just a handful of races rather than betting on loads on random horses running here there and everywhere!

July does of course see some major flat races being run in the UK, and one that I just know many people are going to be planning on both watching and betting on is the July Cup, which as always is being held on the July course at the Newmarket racecourse.

The ante post betting markets that are now up and running over at sites such as Bruce Betting and they do show that there is a slight leaning towards Blue Point regarding the amount of money being wagered on that race, so much so that its odds currently are around the 7/2 mark, but they may get even lower the closer we get to the starting time of that race, so keep that in mind.

One Fifth the Odds on the First Three Places

There will be plenty of each-way sharks ever eager to mop up the best odds on the horses that they think have the very best chances of getting placed in the July Cup and you shouldn’t find it too difficult to find plenty of betting sites offering one fifth the odds on the first three placed horse isn’t hat race.

Perhaps a few horses to consider that do have a reasonable and fair chance of filly the first three spots include horses such as U S Navy Flag and Harry Angel both at 6/1, Eqtidaar at 8/1 or even possible the likes of Sands Of Mali at 10/1 as well as Limato and Redkirk Warrior both currently trading at odds of 12/1!

Consider Backing an Outsider to Win

You an bag odds of   14/1 on both Dreamfield and Brando, but if you think it is going to be a big priced horse that will win this race this year then, other horses to consider at the 20/1 chance Sioux Nation         20/1, or any of the many horses that are available currently at odds of 25.1 which include Projection, Invincible Army and Gustav Klimt.

It is going to take some doing for a horse at odds of 33/1 or higher to win the July Cup in 2018, but anything could happen in this race and therefore three other horses you may fancy the chances of that have much higher odds on offer include Sir Dancealot whose odds of 33/1 may attract some punters, Barraquero at 40/1!

But for a high risk bet but one with some luck in running may just come off then how about taking the current odds of 66/1 that are available on Unfortunately, which is possibly horse worth backing in an  each-way bet
