Who Will Win the BMW PGA Championship?

If you do enjoy watching golf tournaments, then you are probably enjoying watching this year’s BMW PGA Championship, for as usual there has been plenty of highs and lows for those golfers taking part in it and as we approach the last couple of days there are still plenty of golfers in the running to win.

If you have been following one or more golfers and you are still convinced that they are going to win this gold tournament, then maybe it’s about time that you placed a bet on them doing so, as each of our top rated and approved betting sites and sportsbooks are offering odds on who the winner will be.

But one thing to keep at the forefront of your mind is the fact that as this tournament is currently in play, then it will be the in-play outright betting markets you will need to access to place a bet on it, and as such the odds are going to be fluctuating all day and tomorrow on those in-play betting markets.

Having said that though it would appear at this stage in the tournament all the smart money is on Rory McIlroy to win, and if you have been watching him play recently you will not need me to tell you he is certainly a golfer in form and having just glanced at the live betting markets if you do want to bet on Rory McIlroy then his odds are currently 4/7 to win this event outright.

Three Places and a Quarter the Odds on Each-Way Bets

If you do think that Rory McIlroy is going to win at odds of 4/7 you can of course place a bet on him doing so, but there are going to be two other golfers if he does win that will fill the second and third positions on the leader board at the end of the competition.

As such, as many betting sites are going to allow you to place an each-way bet on any of the other golfers taking part in this years BMW PGA Championship there may be some value to be had doing so, as you will be offered one quarter of the win odds if your chosen golfer does finish in the top three.

In my options there are four golfers that do have one of the best chances of finishing in the top three positions, so any of them may be worth betting on, the first is Tommy Fleetwood at odds of 8/1, he is always a golfer you can rely on to play well and those odds, even each-way are very tempting for sure.

Alexander Noren is the third golfer in the betting market to win, so there is no reason why he could end up finishing in the top three, and if that is something you think is highly likely to happen then bag his current odds of 12/1!

Tow golfers that could also fill one of the top three spots on this golf tournament are Francesco Molinari at 18/1 and Branden Grace who really has been playing out of his skin recently and is a player to watch in the future too, his odds of winning this competition by the way are high at 20/1!

Golfers with a Low Chance of Winning the BMW PGA Championship 2018

Any player could of course experience an amazingly run of luck when playing in the golf tournament, and get placed or even win it, however I want to now give you some ideas of the golfers in this event who have virtually no chance of winning what so ever.

That isn’t to say they couldn’t win or get placed, but as you will discover their respective odds do reflect any chance they have of winning. The first golfer is Shane Lowry who is 100/1 and another at equally huge odds is Lee Westwood Lee at 125/1.

You are going to win big even when betting at tiny stakes if you place a bet on Paul Casey at 150/1 or even Ryan Fox whose odds are huge at some 200/1, but their chances of beating any of the higher ranked golfers, especially in this prestigious golf tournament are very, very low!

Three of the other golfers who to be fair are probably only going to attract bets from their friends and family or very avid hardened fans are Alexander Bjork at 250/1, Matthew Southgate at 500/1 and one man who will think its Christmas if he does win or get placed is Richard Wallis and his odds of winning are ridiculously high at 750/1!
