Top Tips for Royal Ascot Day One 19th June

Rather than be forced to have to pay through the nose for a ticket to Royal Ascot and having to comply with their rather archaic dress code, you will probably find yourself watch the races on TV or online rather than visit the racecourse.

If that is something you are planning on doing then it will be on Tuesday afternoon onwards that you will be able to make use of the many different betting and betting opportunities that are live on every single race at Ascot, and the early betting markets are usually where some value can be had.

There are quite a number of horses scheduled to run this year that do have an outstanding chance of winning, and below you will find a complete overview of all the top tips for day one at the Royal Ascot meeting, and some indication of the current odds available on each of them too.

Rhododendron Looking Good for the Queen Anne Stakes

If you can pick the winning horses for the Queen Anne Stakes that should set you up nicely for the remainder of the races running on Tuesday as part of day one of the meeting, and with that in mind there is a lot to like about the way Rhododendron has been running.

In fact, the makeup of this race is ideal for that horses and I wouldn’t waste any time mopping up the odds of 11/4 on offer on it.

If that race does pan out as planned then you will of course be eager to look for a winner in the next race that being the Coventry Stakes and it is with that in mind I think that Sergei Prokofiev is set up for that race, and that is what many other punters also think, but you will be very hard-pressed to get any better odds than 2/1 on it.

The St James Palace Stakes is a race that any of the horses scheduled to run  in it could win and I am steering way from betting on the current favourite that being Without Parole whose odds are 11/4 and leaning towards Romanised who has much better odds of 5/1 about it.

Big Bets Being Placed on Lady Aurelia

In the Kings Stand Stakes Lady Aurelia looks like the one to beat and even though it is currently the favourite to win that race the odds do not represent its chances of doing so, and as such there is valued to be had at 2/1.

The Ascot Stakes is usually a race I do not bet on due to the fact that there are often several running that could win it, but favourite backs will surely like the odds of the current favourite in the betting that being Stratum who is 7/2!

If you are still around for the final race at Royal Ascot on day one that being the Wolferton Stakes it may be worth siding with either Laraaib at 11/2 or Mirage Dancer at 6/1, just be warned there are loads of horses in with a chance of winning this race and any of them could win it at big odds too!
